In my early 20s, I started making major lifestyle changes after being at my lowest point physically & mentally. As my well-being improved, so did my passion for sharing it with others. I created Mats and Mutts to offer encouragement to heal & grow by choosing gratitude, self-love and compassion. Grounded in these values, I share the small steps that make a positive impact for yourself and the world around you in a gentle, yet powerful way.

A little about me
My perfect day would consist of hanging out on the deck with my husband, James, and our three fur-kids, who we love with our whole hearts (dogs: Layla & Doug, cat: Walli)! Nothing more I love than rolling out my yoga mat in the backyard to meditate and practice in the grass with my little family by my side. You can also find me curled up with a cup of Earl Grey, my journal and a good book. I love year-round cozy, hygge vibes!
I’ve always been a homebody by choice, but even moreso my circumstance from my two invisible, chronic illnesses – POTS (a nervous system condition that affects heart rate, blood pressure, blood flow) & Hashimoto’s (an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid). These illnesses are lifelong, but I try my best to take each day at a time! Gratitude has always been an anchor in my life and helps me weather the chronic illness storm.
